Computer Learning Center Students Get to Their Streets

On Friday 05/05/2006, our Spring Online Community Project took off with six of the Computer Learning Center students taking to the streets around Matheson and Wellington apartments to interview residents. The following are questions asked:

How long have you lived in this community? The answers ranged from one to 32 years

Do you like it here? With the exception of one person who responed in the negative, all the others were happy living here.

What don't you like here? The answers ranged from violence to few playing spots for kids.

What do you want to see improved in the community? Here, the answers included improved relationship among residents, through stopping violence to need for basketball courts for kids.

Any other comment(s)? One lady was very appreciative of the efforts to reach out to the community to find out issues that need to be addressed.

The following pictures show the youngsters conducting the interviews.
